Nice analysis. I kind of agree with you on this. It is a cool technology. However, I’m not sure if, or how fast, it will be adopted. There is the argument about whether or not people will wear the glasses. But to me I think about Virtual Boy, when everyone thought virtual worlds and 3D was the future – and it flopped. So we’ll have to see. Avatar showed the possibilities of 3D. Maybe if the technology can get to not using glasses it’ll take off. But not sure what the adoption rate will be given the current technology.

Marcelo,

I agree. One can tap into so much of the festival from here. However, one thing the web can't replace is the excitement and feeling of Park City.

Wow, I didn't realize that there was quite this much infrastructure in place to distribute independent music! Very interesting. While there are plenty of outlets to share visual media (which I'm more familiar with), those opportunities are more disjointed, and with an emphasis on sharing and community rather than direct monetization. Interesting to think about!

I got a chance to attend the conference!

Jeff Sass, Myxer, VP of Business Development, said something I thought was interesting about the nexus between mobile and music:

"The mobile phone is not a device, but a personal accessory. Mobile is music as an experience. Is it interacting with music."
