David Breger
DMEC Co-President
David grew up in Los Angeles before attending Stanford University, where he received a BS in Computer Science and a MS in Management Science and Engineering. Upon graduation, David joined L.E.K. Consulting in Los Angeles, where he worked as the Technology and Consumer Electronics specialist within the firm’s Media and Entertainment practice. At L.E.K., David developed strategic plans for firms ranging from the world’s largest live entertainment company to a provider of digital rights management solutions for broadband video. After Haas, David is excited to combine his experience and passion for media and the Internet into a career in digital media. Outside of Haas, David is an avid poker player and a fantasy football champion. |

Vincent Huang
DMEC Co-President
Born in San Francisco, Vincent Huang left to attend Tufts University to major in Economics and minor in Multimedia Art. After graduating, Vincent joined the Corporate Executive Board in Washington DC advising senior executives around business strategy. While in DC, Vincent sat on the Board of an arts organization helping found a youth filmmaking workshop. An film buff and connoisseur of street foodie, Vincent is glad to be back in California to pursue a career at the intersection of entertainment and technology. |

Dan Parker
Play Co-chair
Dan grew up in Deerfield, MA and earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on entrepreneurship from Babson College in Wellesley, MA. Prior to attending Haas, Dan worked in strategy consulting for L.E.K. Consulting for 5 years, concentrating on news / content delivery and publishing, online advertising, and loyalty program management. Dan plans to pursue his career interests in emerging business models in news, strategic data collection and mining, and creative data visualization. Dan is the Co-Chair of the 2010 >play Digital Media Conference along with Gina Tirado-Strayer. |

Gina Tirado Strayer
Play Co-chair
Gina Tirado Strayer worked in the digital media industry for four years prior to Haas, designing web tools to deliver critical information to underserved communities, and developing sales strategies for a major Hispanic media company. In her most recent role before business school, she managed digital sales strategies at impreMedia, the leading U.S. Hispanic news and information company in print, training and launching a team of 20+ online/mobile sales reps for the newly launched digital division. Prior to impreMedia, she worked as a web producer for a social media company called One Economy, developing online English/Spanish financial literacy tools for low-income communities. She graduated in 2005 with a B.S. from the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism and is focusing on digital media and social innovation at Haas. Gina is the Co-Chair of the 2010 >play Digital Media Conference along with Dan Parker. |

Chris Finegold
Co-VP of Careers
Chris grew up in Palo Alto, before moving down to San Diego to attend UCSD where he studied Management Science. Upon graduation, he went to Sempra Energy to work in Corporate Development, where he worked on M&A deals and corporate strategy. He came to Haas with the goal of switching careers into the digital media industry, and took on the role of VP of Careers to help fellow students accomplish similar switches. Outside of school, Chris enjoys traveling, cooking, swimming and gaming. |

Della Huff
Co-VP of Careers
In her past five years working on digital media strategies for companies such as Warner Bros., Sony Pictures Entertainment, Blockbuster, Time Warner Cable, and NBC Universal, Della has worked on answering many questions regarding the future of the digital media industry: How will traditional media companies transition to delivering content digitally? Through what channels will it be distributed? How will companies monetize its value? How will people consume media five years from now? Della’s passion for digital media stems from these crucial, unanswered questions. In her career, she looks forward to answering these questions and helping to define the business models that determine how, where, and when we buy, store, and consume content. As VP of Careers for DMEC, her role is to help Haas students find their dream jobs in digital media and entertainment and to plan DMEC’s annual career trek to Hollywood. Della is a Bay Area native and graduated from Amherst College with a degree in Economics and Psychology. In her spare time, she enjoys adventure travel, landscape photography, and sampling California’s many delicious wines and craft brews. |

Lauren Hayslett
VP of Finance
Lauren Hayslett is excited about her new role of VP of Business Development with Digital Media and Entertainment Club. Lauren comes to Haas after 4 years of living in the Bay Area after getting her BS in Economics and Business Leadership from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. Prior to Haas, she worked with E2open, a Supply Chain Management SaaS company, as a Project Manager. She is looking forward to transitioning to the digital media and consumer electronic space after Haas. Originally from Pebble Beach, CA, Lauren enjoys baking, painting, yoga, and playing with new technology. |

Jason Mills
VP of Alumni & VP of Social
Jason grew up in Columbia, S.C. before attending the University of Florida, where he graduated Cum Laude in Finance and minored in Economics. Prior to Haas, he worked for General Electric for six years, graduating at the top of the company’s management development programs while working throughout five countries. After Haas, he plans to work for an established technology company as a Product Marketing Manager. As DMEC Co-VP of Alumni Social, Jason is looking for innovative ways to increase interaction among DMEC members and alumni. His outside interests include snow skiing, golf, fishing, tech blogs, and politics. |

Megha Narayan
Co-VP of Careers
Born and raised a New Mexican, Megha received her B.A. in International Relations and English at the University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduating, Megha first worked in the Business Consulting group at FD, a New York-based firm specializing in communications strategy, and then transitioned into consulting role at Prophet, where she applied a brand/marketing lens to strategic business issues. She has worked in a range of both B2B and B2C industries, most notably hospitality, financial services, and agriculture. This summer, Megha plans to pursue a career in Marketing at an innovation-minded, customer-centric organization. In addition to her role as VP Alumni/Social for the DMEC, Megha is the VP of Careers for the Marketing Club, a founding member and VP of the Design and Innovation Collaborative, and a Haas admissions student blogger. In her spare time, she enjoys running, playing soccer, and culinary adventures. |

Matt Salazar
Co-VP of Admissions/Marketing
Matt was born and raised in Diamond Bar, CA, a small suburb of Los Angeles. Staying true to his love for California but wanting a bit of independence, he moved north and attended the University of California at Berkeley. There he studied Computer Science before falling in love with and graduating with a degree in Economics. After college, Matt went to work for Cornerstone Research, an economic consulting firm, working with clients and attorneys on economic and financial analysis in high-stakes litigation settings. His desire to translate his skill-set and experience into the the digital media and consumer electronics space was the impetus for him going back to earn his MBA. In his role as Co-VP as Admission/Marketing, Matt is thrilled to talk to perspective students and is constantly thinking of innovative ways to leverage DMEC’s social media properties to enhance the DMEC community. In his spare time, Matt enjoys watching his pro and collegiate sports teams, snowboarding in Tahoe, playing video games, and cooking without the use of a fire extinguisher. |

Tom Jafari
Co-VP of Admissions/Marketing
Tom grew up in sunny Seattle and received degrees in Economics and Applied Math from the University of Washington. He then spent the next five years working as a consultant at Deloitte, helping a range of clients in the technology and retail industries improve their business and information technology processes. Tom came to Haas to transition his career into a product marketing role for technology company, particularly one involved in improving the distribution of digital content. When not pondering the future of digital content, Tom enjoys playing poker, reading comics, and martial arts. |

Scott Shapiro
VP of Academics
Scott Shapiro hails from Los Angeles where he most recently worked for an early stage venture capital firm. Scott focused on software and digital media and also held interim operating roles with his firm’s portfolio companies. Eventually, Scott would like to launch his own consumer-facing digital media company. Scott holds a BS in Computer Science from UC San Diego. When he’s not immersed in social media, Scott finds himself doing Crossfit, playing racquetball and browsing farmers markets.. |

Nutt Thirawat Thiravanitkul
VP of Experiential Learning
Born and raised in the country of Thailand, Nutt earned a BBA from Thammasat University. Before setting foot on Haas, he worked with HSBC Thailand for 4 years overseeing IT strategy and customer experience management. His desire to learn and become part of the technology space, especially in gaming, brings him from across the world to Haas. His dream career is to be a product marketer or product manager for a product that he’s passionate about. Nutt’s favorite pastimes are golf, soccer, and video games. |
